Governor Warner announces immediate proceedings to remove state treasurer Frank P. Glazier after demanding resignation which he refused. Warner cites gross neglect of duty as Glazier’s Chelsea bank held over $600,000 of state funds when it closed.
Notice to stockholders of The First National Bank of Bessemer Michigan calls an annual meeting at the bank office on Tuesday January 1th 1908 at 2 PM. Purpose is to elect a board of five directors and to consider other business as may come before the meeting. Walter F Truettner Cashier.

Old Bessemer resident Mrs Owen Cummings died Tuesday shortly after 4 AM at her home. Born in Tiparary Ireland 66 years ago she came to America at 19 settling in Appleton then moved to Bessemer 21 years ago. Survived by husband four children and a sister she was active in church Sacred Heart and Altar Societies. Remains were taken to Appleton Wednesday evening for burial.
