Miss Claudette Buchko Weds Clyde Taivalmaa in Ironwood
Miss Claudette Buchko daughter of Mr and Mrs Joseph Buchko of Bessemer became the bride of Clyde Taivalmaa son of Mr and Mrs Martin Taivalmaa of Ironwood in a double ring ceremony at Zion Lutheran Church Ironwood. Rev Viljo A Puotinen performed the vows. The bride wore a rosspoint lace and French crepe gown with empress bodice long sleeves and a chapel train. She carried a cascade bouquet of Sonora roses and feathered mums. Matron of honor was Mrs De Gheller with sisters Mrs Joan Wrege and Miss Cheryl Taivalmaa as bridesmaids. The bridal aides wore apricot chiffon gowns with empire line styling and apricot satin accents. The bridal party wore horsehair headpieces for the 300 guests. The couple planned a weeklong trip to Niagara Falls and will reside in Bessemer. The bride and groom are graduates of A. D. Johnston High School and are employed locally. Out of town guests came from Arizona Chicago Milwaukee Hurley Detroit and Range Cities.
