William Oijala highway overseer of the second district in Bessemer township died Wednesday afternoon at his farm home in South Bossyer after a brief pneumonia illness. A 52 year old resident for 20 years he was born in Finland November 6. Survived by wife and five sons Carl Matt Tolvo William and Aevd. Funeral services set for Saturday afternoon with burial in local cemetery.

Gogebic Farmers to Receive 400 Tons Lime Free
Four hundred tons of agricultural lime will be distributed among Gogebic farmers during the first week in May. The lime, a by product of carbide, comes from Union Carbide Company of Sault Ste Marie Michigan and is free except a small loading and switching charge. Farmers statewide report improved clover and alfalfa yields after treatment, with costs reduced to about two cents per ton excluding transport. The Oliver Tree Mining Co ships the lime on the Hell ship line this year, repeating a 191? record shipment.
