Reports fine growing weather after last Sunday's rain. Ben Farlow and wife visited Geneva friends. Ruth Farlow returned home to visit grandparents John Farlow. John Smith family from near Celina, Ohio dined at F. M. Good's then stayed with J. T. Ault. John Marshall bought a driving horse. Ray Duff improves from illness. June 24 1912 Sherley Strausburg and wife near Bryant in Jay county visited here. Wm Edwards family and Mr. King and son from Lima, Ohio visited John Corey. Ben Fogie lost a brood mare, a setback for the renter with two work horses. Children day service at Maple Grove Sunday evening well attended and program splendid.

The United States bureau of education proposes permanent card records for every child in elementary schools. Approved by the National Education Association and already in 300 cities, the system will track age, admission date, grade, days present, health, conduct, scholarship, birth place, vaccination, and parent or guardian occupation. The past records would follow the student across grades and cities, forming a comprehensive school history.
