In Middletown Connecticut bank workers after a meeting locked up the Middletown Savings Bank building and inadvertently confined 20 bank examiners. One examiner escaped through a window to alert the bank president.
Felix Kocur of Salem was arraigned as the seventh in a group accused of stealing lighting equipment valued at 250000 from Sylvania Electronic Products plants in Danvers and Salem. He stood mute as indictments for conspiracy to steal and being an accessory after the fact were read. Judge Taveira set bail at 5000 and kept trial date unsettled.
