SPACE CENTER Houston AP The director of the first moon rock study Dr Persa R Bell resigns from NASA after learning an engineer will take over his job He plans to return to Oak Ridge National Laboratory for thermonuclear studies Bell had criticized NASA moon exploration and says engineers seek operational control of the lunar lab He will leave mid January to join Anthony J Callie new director at MSC and Bryan Erb slated to head the lab.
