Pastor voices concern over Christian Center plan
The Pittsfield Area Council of Churches considers separating its finance committees from the Christian Center. Rev Jesse S Greene of First Methodist warns the move could orphan the center and strip the council of its strongest project. Council president Rev David E Moore calls Greene's statement premature and outlines a constitutional review and a separate fund drive. The center, at 193 Robbins Ave since 1906, is Pittsfields only settlement house.
