Sanctuary runs deficit despite record Berkshire membership
Berkshire County's Pleasant Valley Sanctuary shows high membership with 434 members including 75 new this year, yet donations fail to cover main county activities. The advisory board noted summer success, a full day camp, modest restaurant profit, and a less successful gift shop while planning a beaver pond restoration, a hummingbird garden, and a December Christmas sale at the Berkshire Museum.
