Mass AFL-CIO Convention Sees Presidency Contest in Springfield
The Massachusetts State Labor Council AFL-CIO opens its sixth annual convention in the Municipal Auditorium Springfield with a presidential contest. Salvatore Camcelio of Boston seeks to unseat J William Belanger of Boston, council president since its six year merger. Local 255 delegates including LaCasse LaBlue Frois Mieledo and Osteling attend. LaBlue is seen as likely to win re election as vice president.
