Modified Pittsfield West Bypass Planned in Three Stages

The state DPW unveiled an $18.5 million bypass plan to the west of Pittsfield, crossing West Street near Onota Street. The route would run from Lenox Route 7 north to Lanesboro, with stages including a Pittsfield bypass and interchanges near Coolidge Hill, West Street, and Onota Lake boulevard, funded 50 50 by federal and state governments.
