IUE Local 255 Votes Gifts to UF Hillcrest

Members of IUE Local 255 voted donations of 200 dollars to the Pittsfield United Fund and 400 dollars to the Hillcrest Hospital memorial fund for Dr A P Desautels. They also elected delegates to the IUE New England district council meeting in Providence November 19 and 20.

Nearly 17 000 in Berk County eligible for Medicare

Nearly 17 000 Berksh ire County residents are eligible to participate in the Medicare program when it begins in July 1966. Social Security district manager Patrick J. O'Connor Jr. said most on Social Security will join. The plan includes hospital coverage with a voluntary $3 monthly medical insurance. enrollment requires a signed YES on the card.
