Sore jurors seek cushions for Berkshire benches

Howard D. Sammis of Pittsfield and about 30 Berkshire County peers petition County Commissioners to seat at least half the spectators benches with cushions for jurors who are on tap. They note that when 12 listen to a case, 20 or 30 more wait in reserve and sit on hard benches all day. The commissioners inspected the benches and will decide after further discussion.
