Scout Drive For Goodwill Is Success
More than 2,100 bags of clothing were collected last Sunday by the Boy Scouts for Goodwill Industries. This was their first attempt at a Good Turn Day for Goodwill. Sixty-six Scouts from Troops 8, 19, 20, 25 joined the drive. One and a half trailer loads of newspapers were also collected, proceeds to be shared among the troops. The clothing will provide work for 10 people for 21 days. Goodwill executive director Roger Monfette thanked participants and urged other county troops to join future Good Turn Day for Goodwill efforts.
