Stockbridge considers new approach to high school French
Stockbridge School Committee discussed adopting the audio lingual method ALM for French taught by Miss Jo Anne Carlson and William Maple with guidance from state expert Ernst Mazzone. The plan calls for four years of ALM, with partial state reimbursement up to 50 percent for tapes and records and possible equipment aid. Scheduling changes are expected. 7th graders would start ALM later, with gradual progression to junior year. The committee will gather more material and reconvene to review costs and class timing.
