Berkshire Museum Opens New Aquarium With Instant Sea Water

Thomas G. Smith presents a 20-gallon aquarium at the Berkshire Museum featuring instant sea water and live sea life. Hermit crabs, sea urchins, starfish, anemones, barnacles, snails, brine shrimp, a sea horse, and coral populate the tank alongside Irish moss and halimeda. The display attracts families and is explained by Smith, who notes symbiotic barnacles on snails and the quick hatching of live shrimp larvae to feed the creatures.
