Louis Alfonso Welcomed by Ford Sign Installers Group
Louis Alfonso owner of Pitts field Neon Signs at 575 Dalton Ave joined 95 other Ford sign installers from around the world at a Ford Motor Co event in Dearborn Michigan. A 100 foot Welcome sign greeted him while tours of River Rouge plant Greenfield Village and the Henry Ford Museum were provided. The group stayed at the Dearborn Inn built by Henry Ford, the first hotel built for all travelers.

Soldier Wright Receives Army Commendation Medal
Charles L. Wright 20 of 36 Dickinson Ave. received the Army Commendation Medal while with the 1st School Battalion at Ft. Eustis Va. for meritorious service during his last assignment in Vietnam with the 9th Infantry Division. He is a first cook in Company D and joined the Army in July 1967 after basic training at Ft. Jackson SC.

Police Briefs Report License Plate Theft and Missing Person
Police reported a theft of license plate number 826-199 from Thomas Killion of 481 Tyler St. A 70 year old resident Mary A. Ray of 148 Bradford St was taken to PGH unit BMC for treatment. Edwin Kingston of 10 Turner Ave is missing since Tuesday. An overnight break in occurred at Onota Lake concession stand and Donald Douglas of 79 Lucia Drive reported a hit-and-run at Onota Lake with minor damage to his car.
