Berkshire lawmakers vote on busing balance amid education bill

In Berkshire County the Education Committee vote split on a plan to end racial imbalance in schools and subsidize steps to that goal. Rep Sala and Rep Turner supported inter area busing. Greenberg Kitterman Corliss and Turner opposed. The anti busing amendment carried and a motion to refer the matter to the Education Committee failed.
