Navy Airman Arrives Home After Western Pacific Cruise
Wyatt Mack Free Cruise Airman Apprentice Donald P Wyatt of the U S Navy son of Mr and Mrs Robert H Wyatt Sr of 215 Pomeroy Ave recently arrived at Alameda California aboard the attack aircraft carrier USS Hancock after a seven month Western Pacific cruise with the Seventh Fleet including three months of combat operations The Hancock participated in air strikes against North Vietnam and Viet Cong targets in South Vietnam through eight major strikes and numerous minor operations The aircraft struck communist billeting areas harassed ground traffic and knocked out anti aircraft batteries radar installations and several bridges Airman Wyatt is expected home on leave at month end

Two Boys Injured in Bike Crash at Francis and Danforth
Gerald R. Demary 13 of 192 Dewey Ave suffered a fractured collarbone and other injuries after colliding with a car at Francis and Danforth avenues and was admitted to Pittsfield General Hospital in fair condition. His companion Philip Nicola 11 of 123 Circular Ave was treated and released. Police said William Glander 94 Danforth Ave slowed brakes too late after noticing the boys. Nicola had previously been near a separate incident with a boy at Tucker School. Daniel J. Bona 22 of 14 Herie Ave struck pedestrian Patricia Wintenberg 29 of 33 Plunkett St on North Summer Street, spraining her hand. William F. Powell of North Adams had brakes fail and crashed into a boat in front of Stephen's Marine. $200 plus damage to his car, boat damage not estimated.
