US conducts underground atomic test at Nevada site
Washington AP reports an underground nuclear test, the first for 1964, exploded at the Atomic Energy Commission Nevada test site about 64 miles northwest of Las Vegas. The AEC described the blast as a low intermediate yield, between 20 and 200 kilotons, following a 1963 schedule of tests and a prior quake-like test last September 13 nearby.

Resigned Democrat Barred From Woman
John M. Spencer, former Vermont Democratic state chairman, was ordered by a Washington County court to stay away from Jude Dale W. Brooks's Barre woman.
