Washington United Press International reports Theodore C. Sorensen resigned as special counsel to President Johnson effective February 29 to write a book about John F. Kennedy. At 35 he spent 11 years shaping communications to Congress and the State of the Union. Johnson accepted the resignation reluctantly and regretfully.
