Pittsfield Food Center distributes Friday Budget Menus
Commodity foods are distributed to all Pittsfield families on public assistance. Eligible residents must obtain an ID card at the center, with Social Security card or license, between 8:45 a.m. and 6 p.m. As of Monday, 17 foods arrived, and monthly allotments must be taken at once with proper storage advised. Guidance covers lard, butter, corn syrup substitutions, and recipe adjustments. The weekly shopping list totaled 36.51 dollars, with potential savings of 8.92 dollars if some items are unused.
