US forces clashed with North Vietnamese troops on Black Virgin Mountain for a second day. Reports say 47 enemy soldiers killed, three Americans wounded, with overall two KIA, nine WIA and a helicopter shot down. U.S. troops estimate a battalion, up to 400, on the mountain as a staging area near Tay Ninh. Allied reports note nearly 200 enemy killed elsewhere. two more helicopters lost.
