Three bookie case defendants fined for betting charges
Three men linked to a service station bet operation were fined a total of 10000 after a district court trial. Daniel DeSantis Harold Daly and Omer Charland faced charges of registering bets and running a premises for betting. Each defendent received fines and appeals were filed while Charland claimed misidentification. Police testimony covered slips, envelopes and racing sheets found during a raid at 794 Dalton Ave.
