I Aim at the Stars review at Union Square
Controversy over Nazi rocket expert Wernher von Braun colors this Columbia Pictures drama. Jurgens plays Von Braun with solid restraint while Daly’s portrayal as an American major feels overdone. Thompson directs at a brisk pace, with strong technical scenes and standout camera work by Wilkie Cooper.

FCC Targets Two Stations Over Payola Charges
The FCC moved against WAOK in Atlanta and WRMA in Montgomery, ordering them to show cause why they should not be forced to cease payola practices. The action marks the first against individual stations in the FCC's year-old crackdown on undisclosed payments for broadcasting records or other materials. The stations admitted receiving payments in responses to a prior FCC inquiry.
