Dance Review Dazzling Pillow Program at Jacob's Pillow
The final week showcases Edward Villella and Patricia McBride in two classical pas de deux with strong partner work. An Indian themed segment by Nala Najan and Anuradha, plus the Jacob's Pillow Dancers, adds variety. Villella is hailed as a genius with stunning ballon and tours de force. McBride delivers flawless technique. The ethnic pieces, including Najan's Nagananda, receive high praise. Curtain talks by Ted Shawn welcome the audience to sold-out matinees and evening shows, as the season ends with attendance down about ten percent due to bad weather.
