Cushing Claims He Is Top Catholic Fund Raiser
Newton Mass AP Cardinal Cushing says he is the most successful fund raiser for the Roman Catholic Church in the United States after crediting a January $1 million one week effort for Cuban prisoner ransom. He told the 17th New England conference that no archdiocese collects half of his total and that he donates half to the Church Universal and half to the Boston archdiocese.
