Scientists Split Over Pact Seen Not Casting Many Votes
Washington reports a Senate leader said the split among scientists on the nuclear test ban treaty could bring a few votes for ratification but not endanger the pact. Fulbright noted no clear leaning for or against the treaty as experts gave divided testimony. The session will hear further from Teller and Foster while Brown and Bradbury defend the pact. The panel plans a public hearing with Warburg and Neilan after a closed session.
