Plastic money urged to replace paper currency
UPI reports Stanley F Reed, a 45 year old inventor, advocates nylon plastic currency called S money or Stanleys money. He proposes two inch square wafers about card thickness that are rigid, durable, washable, and counterfeit resistant, with notches on all four sides to distinguish denominations. Reed heads a research firm in Washington and says the idea came after a roulette trip in Germany and a prompt from the Federal Bureau of Engraving to suggest improvements to paper money production.
