Bowes To Attend Session on Reservoir Dam
County Commissioner James A. Bowes of North Adams will attend a Hinsdale meeting at the request of town officials concerned over Pittsfield’s plan to raise Cleveland Reservoir dam. Officials note the county’s role is engineering adequacy, not dam raising, and emphasize safety for downstream lives and property amid removals of Rockdale and Great Barrington dams by Massachusetts Electric Co.
