Two area builders launch Colonial Homes of Berkshire Hills Inc to market Unicom prefab homes. Richard F. Tucker and August J. Schnopp Jr. display the four bedroom Revere model at 19 Hubbard Ave. with plans for modular design and standard sizes to cut costs. The model is priced at 14888 complete on a buyer’s lot, shell cost 7800, with future shop if volume grows.
