Jubilee Shopping Center Plans Get Federal Saction
Adams Super Markets seeks a multimillion-dollar Jubilee project on five acres bounded by West Street Clapp Avenue Depot Street and the New York Central Railroad in Pittsfield. The URA in New York gave unqualified approval with plans for a 46 000 square foot Adams store a 10 story office building a 60 000 70 000 square foot department store and parking for 600 cars. The project aims to revitalize the downtown with high class stores and large office use and would involve state and federal funding totaling about four million dollars with city bonds financing the local share.
