Long Benton County land suit lists Brody heirs and liens

In Benton county Iowa a District Court filing names H Brody and many Brody spouses as plaintiffs. They claim ownership or liens on land described by sections and townships, tracing title through Hugh Brody Sr and various intermediaries. The petition seeks a decree establishing each plaintiff’s estate or lien and barring defendants from any claim, with default possible if not defended by September 1905 term.

Grand Army Special Train to Denver

A Grand Army special train led by S H Barester from Des Moines departed at 2 00 PM September 4 arriving in Omaha at 7 30 PM and Denver at 11 00 AM September 5. The Rock Island route carried chair cars and Pullman sleepers from multiple Iowa points through to Denver with Mrs E J Hawk and staff accompanying.
