Bess and Edith McGranahan with Miss Jane Heinrich near Blairstown. Jessie and Emma Schuett Keystone visit Emma Kloppenburg last week. Hazel Newell Van Horne visiting Miss Anna Petersen. Mrs Carl Johnson visits Whitsons. Amelia Stenkie visits home near Vinton. Rev Williams Van Horne calls Saturday. Mr and Mrs Morrow and Wilson return from Dakota after three weeks away.

Shellsburg reports Miss Clara Pratt of Cedar Rapids is spending a couple of weeks enjoying local sights and hospitality. she plans to visit friends and attend nearby gatherings during her stay.
Miss Olga Slazek and two cousins from Cedar Rapids visited last week. Mr. and Mrs. J. Kremer and son left for Bennett after a short stay. Mrs. Ina Bower and Chicago relatives visited Mrs. J. Houghton. St Michael parish marked Rev Father Drexter’s ordination silver anniversary on August 9 with attendees from Iowa. W F Brockschink made a business trip to Marion and Kenwood Park. N C club enjoyed Chautauqua rates and Beaver Park picnic despite heavy rains. Prof Keyes of Mt Vernon visited the W J Brown home. Nellie Buchanan vacationing in Cedar Rapids.
