ld Time Mining Man Visits Benson
John Y. Shedden, an old timer in mining, spent two to three weeks in Benson. A pioneer of Leadville Colorado, he worked in famous camps of the 1870s and early 1880s and recalled Tombstone thirty years ago. He has lived in Mexico for about thirty years and now owns mining interests and ranches in Sinaloa. He plans to return to his mining property thirty miles north of Benson. Jack Ewell of Ajo visited briefly before joining Pima county’s contingent for Ft. Riley.
