Deportations Trial Nearing End at Douglas Arizona

In Douglas Arizona on September 11, the deportations trial near its end as defense lawyers waive further examination of state witnesses and seek binding over to superior court for trial. The case involves 200 Douglas and Bisbee citizens accused of kidnapping during the I W W deportations following the trouble. Testimony has shown defendants’ presence in the Warren district acting as guards during the roundup. Witness credibility issues arose as some called by the state could not identify defendants.

County attorney to bring more defendants to court after hearing
