Benson Union High School enters its third term with a large enrollment and bright outlook. Principal H Robertson notes strong prospects as five teachers join the staff. Chas Buffington leads science from Los Angeles, Walter Gray handles manual training and athletics, Ida OBrien heads languages from Topeka, Opal Hughes directs home arts and Spanish, and Myrtle Snyder runs the commercial department. The board approved funds for building upgrades, new equipment, and a renovated campus.

Prohibition meeting on reform urged by W C T U
Mrs Grady Gammage of the W C T U led a Prohibition meeting at the R of P Hall assisted by Mrs Doane Merrill. Summers wins first National Sportsman Cup shoot at 1000 yards
Elias Summers won the opening 1000 yard National Sportsman Cup shoot with 20 points. J. T. Proffitt placed second with 17, followed by Dr. H. E. Thompson, J. A. Nanney each on 15. The contest drew rifle enthusiasts to the range near Benson High School for a test of long range marksmanship. The second shoot is scheduled for tomorrow at 1 pm with new members welcome.
