Word from many parts signals attendance at the Thanksgiving dance in Benson to be hosted by the Cochise County Concert Band. The group hopes Fort Huachuca Orchestra will provide music, with a fallback to other top musicians if unavailable. The event is billed as the social highlight of the season and invites a large turnout.

In Benson, renowned for strict prohibition, Constable John Proffitt raided a small house near the cemetery, confiscating liquor and arresting three people.
