Robbery on Florence Road Near Higley Ends With Car Abandoned
J W Berry and wife were held up on the Florence highway near Higley about 28 miles from Mesa at 4:25 AM Saturday. The two robbers took $390, a woman's purse, a silver mounted pearl-handled revolver, a 30 30 Winchester and a single barrel shotgun. The Ford was driven away and later found in brush nearby. Berry, half-brother of R V Everett, was en route to Winkelman to take charge of a cattle ranch when the hold up occurred.
