Valley Ranch owner adds windmill irrigation and crops
Randolph Reuser of Old Gamestead ranch contracts with Ronstadt Company Tucson to install a Sampron windmill capable of pumping 400 gallons an hour. He has over fifty acres planted to Hickory King corn feterita and other crops and builds a storage reservoir to store irrigation water for a large part of his claim. Jos Young and Mr. Fisher manage the place during his Tucson absence. The M E Church Ladies Aid social netted about sixty dollars to help pay unpaid church improvements. A Benson program promises a refined show with a rapid, uninterrupted flow of big acts. The Hatsu troupe of Japanese acrobats and jongleurs, Van Rankin and his trained ponies, Captain Chas Duncan with elephants, and many other acts from around the world perform. Mlle Roberts headlines with aerial daredevil acts and is billed Queen of the Air. The show runs only at night on June 12.

Cross-country skating star highlights Auditorium show
Hugh Rattan staged a trick skating display at the Auditorium on Thursday night claiming to be the world’s only cross-country skater. He began with ordinary roller skates, then unveiled two special cross-country skates with two wheels per foot rest, performing deft maneuvers. The ten cent admission attracted a modest crowd as others joined in skating before and after the performance.

Moonlight automobile party near Martinez ranch
Last night Mr. S. B. Moss hosted a small automobile party and moonlight picnic for friends along the Tucson road beyond the Martinez ranch. The group included Mr. and Mrs. J. A. W. D. Martinez Home Destroyed by Fire
Early yesterday at 3 o clock the Martinez residence near the high school grounds burned completely. No fire plug nearby hampered efforts though neighbors alerted by pistol shots helped wake the neighborhood. The structure valued at about 1800 was only partly insured and occupants escaped with no significant belongings. The cause remains unknown amid ore embargo affecting Cochise County sellers and local smelters.

Assailant Fires Ten Shots at Benson Moving Picture Show Owner
Johnson reports William Seliger proprietor of a moving picture show at that place formerly of Benson was the intended victim of an assassin's bullet Wednesday night. Returning home after closing his business he was fired upon as shots were fired from outside his home but all missed. The attacker fled into darkness with no identification.
