Death of Tombstone bank cashier after over a month of suffering
Thomas R. Brandt cashier of the Tombstone National Bank died in El Paso Texas following a gunfire incident on November 2 when he was shot while trying to halt a bank robbery. Frederick Koch confessed to the crime and received a sentence of twenty five years to life in the Arizona state penitentiary. Brandt's body was returned to Tombstone for burial accompanied by his widow and two sons including Thomas Brandt Jr a U S Navy seaman.
