A flurry of visits marks the week with A C Karger from Tombstone, Chas M Roberts from Willcox, Mrs L Blacklidge and family, Manuel Mejia from Mazatlan, and others passing through. Officials inspect a river bridge site, a temporary span planned, and a big Caterpillar tractor arrives for road work.
Voters must be 21 or older and a US citizen with one year Arizona residency and 30 days in District No 9 before August 9 1919. Tax paid in 1918 in the voter’s own name is required. women must pay taxes in their own name. Poll list kept by election judges. names not on list cannot vote. Judges may reject votes from those lacking any qualification.
Two University of Arizona dairying courses are planned for next year. Course 1 covers sanitation, milk handling, cream separation, and testing with the Babcock method. Course 4 focuses on cattle judging, pedigrees, and breeding concepts. A statewide War Veterans day reunion is set for November 3-8 during state fair week, featuring war trophies, trench exhibits, and artifacts from Arizona veterans.
The Almos Land and Irrigation company plans a 100 foot dam on Date Creek west of Congress Junction to irrigate 20000 acres. The state corporation commission approved a $250000 first mortgage bond issue to fund the work. Company officers include W. T. Sawyer of Congress Junction and Daniel C. Parks of Prescott.
Mr. W. G. Campbell of Butler Tennessee reports using Chamberlains Colic and Diarrhoea Ready for summer complaint in children. He notes it is far ahead of any product he has used for this purpose and recommends Moss Pharmacy.
