The Gravity Rule Behind Childbirth Reform
A reflective essay traces maternal birth practices from England to America, arguing against back-lying labor. It highlights natural methods like squatting and Lamaze, criticizes supine delivery for pain and physiology, and praises emerging family centered care and the innovative Ehrstrom obstetrical table to align birth with gravity and patient autonomy.

Unknown gents linked to old Park-McCullough photo identified
Mrs. Dorotha Smith identified two men in a Park-McCullough House display photo. The right figure is her father Leon W. Eldred, 88, and the other is the late Daniel Barber, who would be 93 this year. The piece references Mt Anthony quarry sources for the mansion stones and notes the 1910 photo timing along with catalog chatter and local obituaries and notices surrounding area residents and events.
