The Vermont attorney general's office weighs an opinion on the legality and constitutionality of petition campaigns to place minor parties on the November ballot. Assistant Atty. Gen. Louis Peck said he has a request from Secretary of State Harry Cooley to opine on objections to all certificates of nomination raised by Harley Walter Kidder of Barre. Kidder objects to petitions for the New party, the George Wallace party and the Socialist Workers party and will meet with Peck to discuss.
