Clean Up Plan Set For Walloomsac River Watershed
After a nearly three hour session Vermont Water Resources Dept and Vt Tissue Mills in North Bennington agreed on a cleanup plan for the Walloomsac River. The plan calls for a pre treatment settling lagoon to remove 85 percent of solids before discharge into the sewer. Construction could begin soon with a target operation date of December 15 next year and full operation by next spring, pending final approvals and contractor hiring. See WALLOOMSAC Page 14, Col. 7
