Picasso heirs settle estate after 44 months of dispute
Heirs of Pablo Picasso end years of legal fights over a 250 million estate left by the artist upon his 1973 death. The settlement divides 1876 paintings, 12000 drawings, 30000 engravings, 1355 sculptures and 2880 ceramics plus a French chateau, with Mrs. Rocque receiving about 60 million after taxes and grandchildren set to inherit sizable sums. The French government will accept art in lieu of taxes for a Picasso museum in Paris.
