Bennington Center fund reaches 100000 in historic effort
A campaign led by Richard A. Sleeman raised one hundred thousand dollars three days early for the Bennington Area Community Center at Memorial Park. Volunteers donated their time. Wright & Morrissey agreed to settle debts and relinquish claims. A pledge-card burning ceremony will mark the transfer and a gymnasium auditorium addition is planned.
