Hoosick Falls Peace Corps Worker Returns from Duties in East Pakistan
Eleanor Saboski of Hoosick Falls returned home after 21 months in East Pakistan as a Peace Corps volunteer. She taught science and English at a girls school in Mynensingh, started a literacy class for adult Bengali women, and helped with local education while living in a hostel with five teachers and 40 students. She travelled through Calcutta Bangkok Singapore Hong Kong Taiwan Korea Japan and Hawaii before arriving in New York Sept 1. She plans to pursue a teaching master's degree at the University of Chicago and hopes to teach overseas again.

Since the closing of Georgia Marble Co.s Dorset quarry on Vermont 30 in South Dorset at summer’s end Arthur Dumas of East Dorset has been commuting to West Rutland to quarry marble in Georgia Marble Co.s Green Mountain Marble Co. Miss Gloria Jones set off Monday for salmon fishing in New Brunswick Canada. If fishing is good she will spend her entire two week vacation from the C F Orvis Co there. if not she will return home.
