North Bennington Welcomes New Five Ton Fire Truck
North Bennington received its new Maxim fire truck a gift from last spring arriving Thursday. Fire Chief Martin Percey, Village Board Chairman Fred Welling, and local students attended. The five ton vehicle features a 250 hp engine, 500 gallon booster tank, 750 gpm pump, electronic siren, and 1,000 feet of dacron hose. It will be garaged at Willis Texaco Garage pending village funds for a new fire station.
