Pambianci’s attorney John Carmody met the Planning Commission in POWNAL to outline steps for variances and hearings required for a proposed 41 unit motel and shopping center on Route 7 near Green Mountain Park Race Track. The board said a permit is conditional and a public hearing is needed. A density variance is also required as the development uses less land than by law demands. The town will seek Selectmen guidance on sign ordinances. Attendees included Alfred Chenaille, Dennis Austin, Earl Lillie, Sam Cottrell, E. Kenneth Brown, Fran Lampman and Herb Armstrong.
