Panels Ready Recommendations To Streamline State Government
Vermont panels prepare final reports on streamlining state government within two weeks. The plan calls for a single transportation and development department uniting highways aeronautics and planning with a cabinet secretary, while fish and game water resources and forests and parks stay separate with a natural resources secretary. A department of justice may coordinate police and prosecutors instead of merging motor vehicle and public safety.
